About Abacus Construction
They are a construction firm in Dallas, TX, providing a wide range of services across the company. Abacus’ portfolio is very diverse. One of the initial challenges of the project was that the firm wasn’t sure on the identity of the company at first. With none of the original suggestions quite hitting the mark for everyone, we came up with Abacus Construction, which we felt perfectly represented the level of detail the company strives for in the quality of their work. This proved to be the winning option.
Reaching and finding new engagement
After visiting Abacus Construction’s facility, we got a feel for what they were about, their fabrication expertise, and the kinds of customer they were looking to attract.
From conversations with the Abacus team, combined with our own research, we created a detailed digital marketing strategy. As well as benchmarking all of the current activity that was taking place online, we provided a competitor analysis, researched buyer personas, and defined the goals and targets we’d be working towards to create a final plan.
This included our recommendations for both inbound and outbound digital activity, and resource identification (who does what, and when). Abacus were keen on us to make a smooth transition from their previous agency, so we handled this process directly with them.
We made immediate recommendations on changes that would improve their social media platform, reviewed their stationaries, updating information and images where necessary, and created an email template for their monthly newsletter. Our work on social media has seen huge increases in follower counts.
We examined what had previously been done for the brand on Google AdWords, and started from scratch with a more targeted approach that included more display elements across websites where potential customers will be likely to see them.

The Future
Since working with Abacus Construction, we’ve gotten to know what their expectations are, and how they want to present themselves to the world. We’re able to operate independently, managing day-to-day processes on their behalf, and making recommendations for opportunities we could pursue. We’ll be supporting them with all things digital in the future, and are very excited to be able to contribute to their ongoing growth.
