About Skyline Nails & Spa
Skyline Nails & Spa is a Texas-based nail franchise that spans the DFW area. The primary salon is based in Arlington, TX. Founded in 2005, they have a great reputation for the quality and price of their nail salon services. After more than 15 years in the business, Skyline Nails & Spa was in a great position – but the one weak link in the chain was their website, which was in need of an update. It wasn’t performing in the way they needed anymore.
A new website needed to look modern and professional, with an easily updatable content page, and the ability to let the Skyline team build on the site with marketing activity in the future. It also needed to capture the newly done remodel!
What We Did - Design and Photography
Any good website design balances three different viewpoints: what the company wants, what the designer knows will work from experience, and what a target user will engage with best. Each is an essential consideration, but we think users are the most important of all.
The site’s design is fairly minimalist, with bold blocks of color and large images. We originally proposed a concept with an always-present sidebar menu, but the clients preferred the idea of a horizontal navigation at the top of the page.
Elsewhere, we’ve used large CTA blocks, big, vibrant photos of the salon’s amenities and present a large amount of information in an easily-digestible way. It’s very much a simple, yet effective design that captures Skyline Nails & Spa’s own 100% transparent approach.
Copywriting
We wrote new content for the site, expanding on the technical information from the prior one to provide a more rounded view of the services offered.
Whatever we create, we put ourselves in the shoes of the people who are going to be using it: your clients and customers. This means we carry out persona research to understand who they are, what they want, and how they’re likely to use your site. We create user interfaces that make these customer journeys easy – all while looking lovely too.
The Future
We’ll continue to support Skyline Nails & Spa with website maintenance and their digital marketing needs.
